The greatest spectacle & the grand
gathering of princesses in our favorite fairytales came alive as Araneta
Coliseum thru Feld Entertainment brought Disney On Ice Princesses & Heroes
which started last 25-Dec. 2012 to 3-Jan-2013. People of all ages queued as
early as 4PM to glimpse their favorite princesses & believe that dreams do
come true.
Cheers & applause echoed thru’ the gigantic venue when Tinkerbell
first appeared and followed by Mickey and Minnie Mouse who served as the
narrator and the hosts of the show.
Princess Jasmine came in with her story
in Alladin and as expected used the song A Whole New World as their finale
followed by Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs who rendered “Hi-Ho” plus 2 more
songs. Beauty & the Beast came in just in time and the final act for the 1st
part of the show was Princess Ariel of The Little Mermaid which was spectacular
and amazing as they ice skate with the rest of the sea creatures with Under The
Sea and the acrobatic acts her prince and the sailors.
After a few minutes, 2nd act started with Princess
Ariel again for the purpose of continuity of the show but this time their
presentation were action-packed starting with the song “Were Almost There” of
The Princess & The Frog, Tangled came in, of course it’s Rapunzel with her
long golden hair then Sleeping Beauty surprised us with a dragon who lighted
the stage with fire (can you imagine that “a fire on ice”, whew that was one
hot scene). And finally, Cinderella had her dramatic entrance with her horses
and the golden coach plus her 3 godmothers. Fascinating!
And the grand finale was the gathering of all the 8 princesses
and their brave, charming, handsome heroes and they lived happily everafter.
Disney on Ice Princesses & Heroes has
been a pure fun and a different experience for kids, parents and the young at heart
as every performance was jaw-dropping. You can’t helped it but be mesmerized by
the lifting and the swift twists and turns as they ice skate. It gave the
children to have fun on ice, learn to ice skate and believe in their dreams. As
the song goes;
“when you wish upon a star
makes no difference who you are
anything your heart desires
will come to you …”
will come to you …”
