What I admired more about sir Bing is that he never get tired of sharing his expertise in scriptwriting to new breed of writers, he administers scriptwriting workshops every year, true enough that the best way to show one’s wisdom is by imparting it to others and let the learners explore and create a masterpiece of their works that will bring an array of pride and honor to our country in the field of filmmaking.

2012 is the called LANA’s Year with his Cinemalaya entry and multi-awarded film “BWAKAW”.  His 2^nd movie after his 2006 movie “GIGIL”.

Bwakaw   has numerous awards here and abroad;

Summary: IBONG ADARNA [520-567] "Hamon ng Pag-Ibig

Nagkagusto ang prinsesa kay Don Juan nang ito’y  lumuhod sa harapan ng dalaga. Dito naramdaman ng prinsesa ang tunay na pag-ibig ng prinsepe. Subalt nagtitimpi s’ya at nagbalat-kayo na kunwari ay di nito gusto si Don Juan.

Sinabi ng prinsepe na magpapakamatay na lamang s’ya kung walang pagtingin sa kanya si Donya Juana. Ang mga hirap na dinanas nito ay hindi biro, itinaya ang kanyang buhay ngunit sa prinsesa s’ya pa rin ay nabigo.

Sambit ng prinsepe ay lungkot at lumbay kaya’t ng masulyapan s’ya ng prinsesa s’ya man din ay nanamlay. Iniaalay ni Don Juan ang pusong di magtataksil sa kanya.

Sakdal-lupit ang inabot kaya’t susuungin ang panganib kahit s’ya ay matalo. May takot at pangamba sa dibdib ng prinsesa pero ito’y kanyang pinawi at hiniling sa kanya na lumapt sa Diyos pang makamit ang masayang kapalaran sa buhay.

Dumating ang higante, nabalot ng takot ang prinsesa. S’ya ay tinakot, tinawanan at hinamak. Narinig lahat ni Don Juan ang sinabi ng higante kaya’t boung tapang n’ya itong hinarap. Tinanggap ng boung yabang ang hamon ng prinsepe.

Naglaban ang dalawa at sa huli ay napatay ni Don Juan ang higante. Pagod man ay pinanatag ang kalooban ng prinsesa.

Niyaya ng prinsepe si Donya Juana sa kanyang kaharian pero hindi n’ya kayang iwanan ang kapatid na si Leonora.

Si Leonora ay bihag ng isang serpenteng may pito ang ulo. Sinabi nito ang hiling sa prinsepe at humingi ng tulong sa Mahal na Birhen kaya’t di kailangang matakot at mangamba.

Dahil dito, gumiting ang prinsepe. Humingi ng gabay sa Maykapal at ini-asa ang buhay sa Diyos.
